The Ranger boys basketball team defeated rival Aitkin, 50-49 on Thursday night in exciting fashion.
Down one with less than 20 seconds remaining, Kyle Skeim stole the ball and passed it to Dakota Mitchell in the lane. Mitchell banked in a jump shot with six seconds remaining to put C-I ahead for good. The Rangers had trailed most of the game up to that point.
Jonathan Jacobson had another big game for C-I with 26 points and 14 rebounds.
The win snaps the Rangers five-game losing streak. Their record stands at 9-13 on the year. Their next game will be on Tuesday when they host Detroit Lakes.
